Job Description
The Senior Director of Benefit Operations reports to the Vice President of Benefit Operations and leads approximately 200 colleagues and 80 contractors in implementing and maintaining pharmacy benefits across multiple areas. The Senior Director leads a Health Plan Benefits Operations team responsible for Commercial, Medicaid, Exchange and Medicare clients totaling $30B in revenue and 30M lives across 4 areas: pharmacy benefits requirements, benefit plan configuration, and testing.
The Senior Director is also responsible for leading a Shared Services team accountable for Specialty Benefits, Integrated Accumulations and Product Deployment services supporting all market segments and lines of business. You will establish the strategic direction for the team with a focus on improving quality while scaling services using automation.
The Senior Director manages the $25M team budget along with achieving service warranties and performance guarantees budgets. The Senior Director is responsible working directly with senior leaders across Account Management, Sales, IT, Product Innovation, Medical Integrators and our clients to ensure service expectations are being achieved year over year.

* Ability to manage multiple and often competing priorities
* Ability to think both strategically and tactically to ensure the department reaches higher levels of performance.
* Ability to work autonomously setting priorities and taking necessary actions to identify and fix potential issues
* Experience managing complex customer relationships
* Experience shaping service improvements using Measurements

Required Qualifications
8+ years required in the following:

* Experience in the healthcare industry with knowledge of pharmacy benefits management operations.
* Experience leading large, distributed teams with multiple disciplines
* Experience managing multiple vendor partners in the delivery of services supporting a department
* Experience managing a P&L

Preferred Qualifications
* PBM experience
* Familiarity with the software development lifecycle
* Master's degree

Education
Bachelor's degree required
