We are seeking a Sr. Director of enterprise data portfolio and stewardship enablement, accountable for building an enterprise data portfolio and stewardship focused around managing enterprise data portfolio, business stewardship, Metadata, and Data Quality Management. As a Sr. director, you will be responsible for:
- Defining the overall the enterprise data capability roadmap that aligns with business and analytic usecases and prioritize the capability development through business ownership accountability in the Program Increment (PI) planning process including laying out the vision, draft plan review, assigning business value to team PI objectives, and approving final plans.
- Managing the enterprise data strategy capability portfolio by closely partnering with IT to oversee development, implementation and deployment of the data capabilities, ensuring that deliverables align with current and future business strategies and are successfully integrated into existing business processes.
- Define the integrated execution team along with IT enterprise data platform team to execute the PI plan including day to day management of PI initiatives to deliver the enterprise data capabilities that meets the overall business objectives and value.
- Working across Enterprise Analytics to defining and implementing business stewardship organization, associated policies and procedures, leading change management efforts, and ensuring the compliance to policies and procedures across CVS Health enterprise by partnering with IT data and platform organization.
- Defining the overall data intake policy for enterprise and implementing process to manage the demand pipeline of data initiatives that are initiative across business units including IT, Business and Analytics teams to develop and manage enterprise view of data investments, and triage the initiatives appropriately to drive right solution and synergies that align with overall enterprise data strategy.
- Working closely with colleagues in Enterprise Analytics, IT, cross-functional business leaders and subject matter experts, you will ensure that we have clearly defined business stewardship policies and procedures including data quality standards and data compliance standards for data/ analytic investments.
- Drive the business strategy for cloud enablement and supporting roadmap that aligns with business and analytic needs, and executing the roadmap by closely working with IT organization including migration of on-prem big data Hadoop environments onto cloud.
- You will bring your strong experience in developing data and analytic solutions strategy and executing them, and also implementing Data governance/stewardship organization to manage CVS health data assets with right level of standards and quality and establish single source of truth for driving insights.

Required Qualifications
- To qualify for this role, a minimum of 13+ years of significant experience in leading and delivering Data and analytic solutions including 5 years of experience in large scale portfolio management, data governance/stewardship, data management, metadata management, and data quality solutions.
- Executive level consulting experience in translating business problems across disciplines into data and analytic projects with measurable business value combined with ability and experience to work closely with the individual contributors to efficiently translate plans into reality.
- Excellent ability to establish and maintain collaborative relationships with analytic and non-analytic business partners, including executive leadership, in order to elicit business needs and formulate, propose and refine data and governance solutions in order to meet the business needs and to drive efficiency and effectiveness improvements and business value.
- Experience in working with cross functional business and IT teams to understand the business needs in developing business case and value proposition for data and analytic solutions, governance and stewardship.
- Demonstrated experience leading internal or external funding efforts for projects based on business value and ROI.
- Experience in implementing data governance organization structure, developing associated policies and procedures, and enforcing the compliance of procedures in large scale matrix organization.
- Proven team leadership and management experience, with ability to recruit, engage and develop staff with advanced degrees and diverse backgrounds and in different geographic locations, ability to allocate resources based on priority and skill level, strengths, and area of expertise; ability to train and mentor junior colleagues.
- Experience in building and leading project teams in a matrix environment
- Experience with big data and cloud environments including cloud migration.
- Solid understanding and hands on experience working with large data sources, focusing on efficient data extraction from large databases, data manipulation, and setting up optimized summary data layers including experience in standing up metadata and data quality solutions.
- Excellent written and oral communication and data presentation skills, with ability to tailor the communication style to the right audience, from the analytic professional to the senior business leaders.
- Excellent project management skills with ability to lead and engage in multiple projects and initiatives and appropriately prioritize ones own time

Preferred Qualifications
Healthcare industry experience

Education
Bachelor degree required with 13+ years of relevant experience; or a Master's degree or equivalent in an analytic discipline and10+ years of relevant experience;
