Job Description
As Senior Director of Specialty Trade Pipeline and Strategy, you will work closely with the VP Specialty Trade and lead a team of professionals to directly contribute to the bottom line of a Fortune 8 organization.
Position Responsibilities:
* Responsible for establishing relationships with small biotech companies and consultants to ensure inclusion in manufacturer RFPs and access to limited distribution drugs.
* Responsible to collaborating internally to ensure enterprise wide alignment of specialty pipeline among clinical team and Specialty Trade Relations and monitor progress and track record for limited distribution.
* Will play leadership role for CVS Health - enterprise gene therapy strategy and trade strategy specifically.
* Responsible for working with Specialty leadership Team for formulating and help implementation of rare disease and oncology trade strategies to help improve access to limited distribution drugs.
* Work with Marketing to drive overall marketing strategy for Specialty Trade team to elevate brand and perception of CVS/specialty.
* Represent specialty trade team in specific internal leadership initiatives. Act as liaison between Operations, Specialty Program Management, and Marketing to continually represent Specialty Services Team and internally align strategies and goals.
* Responsible for Specialty Pipeline Directors to ensure CVS Caremark Specialty Pharmacy remains an innovative leader and best in class in the specialty services space to remain competitive and gain access to pipeline products.
* Responsible for RFP team that responds to manufacturer RFPs and responsible for process internally and externally to ensure effective responses to contribute gaining access to specialty products; create and maintain RFP process, RFP library, capabilities slide decks.

Required Qualifications
* 10+ years' work experience within specialty pharmacy or healthcare/pharmaceutical industry
* 10+ years Industry Relations/ Specialty Pharmacy experience required
* Business Development and negotiation skills with pharmaceutical manufacturers and experience within specialty pharmacy
* In this role you need to be able to travel at minimum 30% of the time.

Preferred Qualifications
* 5+ years management of team with broad range of various responsibilities (contract negations/specialty pipeline)
* Ability to interact professionally with all levels of management, internal and externally
* Ability to handle large sized manufacturer relationships and continually handle high level of contract and negotiation activity
* Strong industry specific knowledge, including demonstrated knowledge of reimbursement, specialty pharmaceutical, and pharmacy distribution trends and practices.
* Strong knowledge of strategic principles
* Sense of urgency and drive for results
* Critical thinking, analytical and problem-solving skills and creativity to develop new specialty products to gain value from pharma
* Proven ability to work across multiple functions within a matrix environment, strong collaboration, and teamwork skill
* Assertive follow-up skills
* Organizational skills and attention to detail
* Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills
* Ability to handle several projects, contracts, and internal meetings at one time and continually prioritize based on Trade value

Education
Bachelors Degree required
