The Team

Our professional services team is critical to our success and mission. As part of this team, you enable customer success by providing support to clients post-sale. Our dedication to our customers doesnt stop once they sign - it evolves.

As threats and technology evolve, we stay in step to accomplish our mission. Youll be involved in implementing new products, transitioning from old products to new, and will fix integrations and critical issues as they are raised. But you wont wait for them to be raised, youll seek them out, too. We fix and identify technical problems, with a pointed focus of providing the best customer support in the industry. Palo Alto Networks Finance department is looking for an outstanding Senior Financial Analyst to add to the Financial Planning & Analysis team. The ideal candidate would be a self-starter who is looking to contribute significantly to a strong and fast-paced group. While primary focus would be supporting the General & Administrative (G&A) function, various projects will enable this person to work cross-functionally with broad exposure and available opportunities for growth.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Drive improvement projects as the business continues to grow, such as: vendor spend reduction, location strategy, lease analysis, project spend tracking, benchmarking, and improved reporting that enables business leaders to make quicker business decisions
  • Close reporting for G&A including accruals, reclasses, budget versus actual analysis, and maintaining project templates
  • Quarterly forecasting and annual planning
  • Manage day to day business partnering and support tasks for various G&A areas, providing modeling support where requested and proactively when not
  • Assist with development and maintenance of spend management dashboards and other business intelligence reporting
  • Partner with G&A Finance team to improve forecast accuracy and deliver a high quality product consistently
  • Drive automation and process improvements
  • Complete ad hoc requests from various business partners internal and external to Finance & Accounting to drive high corporate performance and assist with executive business planning

Qualifications

Minimum Job Qualifications:

  • BA/BS in Business Administration or Finance with at least 4 years of FP&A related experience
  • Previous experience with a business partnering role supporting G&A preferred
  • Familiarity with project capitalization a plus, including capitalization of internally developed software
  • Strong relationship building and communication skills, experience and desire to work cross-functionally and be a contributing team member
  • Professional, diligent, hardworking, and self-motivated. A true team player.
  • An eye for detail, not afraid to be in the weeds.
  • Ability to think creatively and quickly with minimal direction and information
  • Evidence of strong analytical and problem solving abilities, particularly as it relates to new or challenging situations
  • Strong business skills as shown by the ability to multitask, stay organized and prioritize deadlines in a continually evolving environment
  • Experience in building, maintaining, improving and presenting financial models
  • Superior knowledge of Excel with advanced knowledge of pivot tables, lookups, and logical functions preferred.
  • SAP, SAC, and BPC knowledge a plus
  • Experience working in a high growth IT and facilities organization preferred
