Job Description

Grand Canyon Education is seeking a Sr. IT Manager, Network & Telecom professional to provide leadership and strategic oversight to the Network & Telecom team through daily operational and project supervision. The successful candidate GCE seeks has a flexible mindset and can adapt quickly to changes and challenges. They are always observing and learning how to better understand and serve external and internal customers. Working closely with decision makers, they help identify, recommend, develop, implement, and support cost-effective technology solutions. They are an exceptional steward of time, people and resources.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead the Network and Voice teams responsible for LAN/WAN/Wi-Fi/Voice in support of daily operations.
  • Lead, initiate, and facilitate business process improvements and transformation which include executive dashboards, resource tracking, and analytics to facilitate data-driven decision making.
  • Collaborate with Director on budgeting, funding models, strategy, and policy.
  • Oversee project planning and execution, manages requirements, deliverables, timelines, and budgets. Participate in 24/7/365 on-call escalation.
  • Build and maintain effective working relationships and act with diplomacy and discretion when dealing with sensitive and confidential issues.
  • Provide a positive example to students and staff by supporting the Universitys Doctrinal Statement, Ethical Position Statement and Mission of Grand Canyon University.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration, or related discipline.
  • Proven equivalent industry experience may be substituted for degree.
  • Demonstrated experience in the management of multi-disciplinary teams in a service delivery environment preferred.
  • Experience in a University or comparable complex environment preferred.
  • Experience with laws, regulations, and best practices relevant to the position preferred, including but not limited to PCI Compliance, HIPAA, FERPA, and data security.
  • Well-developed oral and written communication skills.
