Sr Manager - Retail Agile Transformation Lead

Job Description
The Retail Agile Coach is an expert in agile methodologies, a thought leader responsible for leading and executing training and coaching efforts for CVS Health Retail agile transformation. This role also includes creating strategy, roadmap, processes, structures, guidelines, architecture, create communities of practice etc. This role has direct impact on Retail Pharmacy Agile Transformation effort and in terms having impact on delivery of programs giving incremental value, helps the team in advancing agile practices at scale (the Scaled Agile Framework - SAFe) and agile tooling strategies.

Responsibilities include :
1. Lead and/or facilitate training sessions and workshops (virtually and in-person) for colleagues at all levels of the organization, aimed at rolling out and sustaining department-wide adoption of Lean-Agile methodologies, with particular focus on the Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe), Scrum. Training will include introductory, advanced, and role-specific training to further the organizations agile practice. Willingness to travel 3-4 weeks of each quarter. Able to train using SAFes prescribed material as well as put together own material to support specific training/overview requests (using tools like PowerPoint and Miro).
2. Mentor and coach to mature basic and advanced agile practices, working to empower Retail leaders in key Agile roles at all layers of the organization, with specific focus at senior & mid-level leaders (i.e., Solution & Portfolio leaders as well as RTEs). Can proactively identify the most valuable mentoring & coaching opportunities. Leads teams to diagnose and resolve complex business challenges. Advanced topics would include agile finance practices, lean portfolio management, solution SAFe, and strategy identification.
3. Define, create, and support implementation of: (in partnership with Agile Transformation team leadership and other coaches)
* training strategies
* organizational change plans
* delivery plans
* agile maturity assessments,
* agile improvement backlogs,
* advanced trainer plans.
4. Drive the Delivery and Release Plans of Retail /Enterprise Programs in Retail Pharmacy Portfolio. Work with business to streamline the intake the process and work with IT team in continuous adoption of agile practices to provide incremental value to business.
5. Collaborate on the creation and evolution of the Agile transformation roadmap and owns driving activities across the team/organization. Develop SOPs in the context of the organizations landscape in order to effectively transform team members to Agile method. Integrates the Agile with the organizations work culture and acts as a catalyst to change the mindset to adopt Agile.
6. Define and socialize strategy in agile work management tooling, including delivering training and coaching retail colleagues to use tools (Miro, Rally, Retrospective tools). Support tool administration and usage.
7. Develops and tracks key metrics to help in speeding the Agile transformation efforts and gauge the maturity of the teams. Lead working groups to meet transformation deliverables such as identifying a standard set project metrics, revising project templates, setting up communities of practice and updating processes. Work with the team to create a plan to meet deliverables, facilitate meetings, track progress and action items, take minutes and update wikis.

Ability To:

* Communicate difficult concepts and influences others to adopt a different point of view
* Facilitate large- and small-group sessions.
* Train SAFe outputs such as Epic creation, Feature creation, and Portfolio Canvases
* Deliver compelling training, both in person and virtually through videoconferencing
* Adapt communication style to fit audience

Required Qualifications
* Being a Release Train Engineer
* 10+ years in Project/Program Management roles (using Agile and traditional methods).
* 5+ years Agile Coach / Management consulting experience with teams that are new to Agile practices
* 2+ years delivering Agile projects utilizing a variety of methods including Scrum, SAFE, etc., using collocated and distributed delivery models.
* Facilitating small- and large-group sessions, (examples include: Communities of Practice (COP), Inspect and Adapts workshops, and Value Stream Identification workshops)
* Coaching and mentoring colleagues at all levels of the organization, including executives
* Crucial conversation techniques and change management frameworks
* The interpersonal skills and self-awareness both lead large-group sessions and have impactful 1-1 interactions to inspire meaningful change

Preferred Qualifications
* Coach movement from project mindset to product-focused mindset across multiple disciplines
* Coach to build connections between silo
* Coach other trainers and coaches to help them improve their craft
* Explain the why behind the theories
* Context switch between agile topics and between levels of the organization that youre working with in each day
* Share real-life experiences from other companies to how to put the agile theories & SAFe framework into practice.
Certified Agile Coach is a plus.
* Certified Scrum Master is a plus.

Education
Bachelors Degree in computer science or related fields.
