Sr. Payroll Coordinator

Extra Space is currently hiring for a Senior Payroll Coordinator at our corporate office in Cottonwood Heights, UT. In this role, you will coordinate our key payroll activities, including processing our more complex payrolls, completing the payroll tax cycle and serving as a lead employee on our payroll team.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Complete the payroll cycle for our complex payrolls.
- Coordinate the processing of all federal, state and local taxes, including auditing returns.
- Serve as a lead employee for the payroll team, providing training, support and coaching as needed.
- Respond to ad hoc reporting needs across the company.
- Bachelor's Degree in a related financial field preferred.
- Preference given to candidates with their CPP certification.
- Five or more years of payroll processing experience with 2+ years of payroll tax duties required.
- Proficiency in Excel required.
- Experience preferred working with Workday payroll attendance systems.
- Research and resolve accounting discrepancies and tax agency notices.
