Job Description

Facilities Development and Management (FDM), Administrative Services, seeks a vibrant, well-organized, highly motivated Sr. Talent Acquisition Coordinator to facilitate the full-life cycle of recruitment and employment activities. We are seeking an individual who is accustomed to a fast-paced environment and enjoys working collaboratively with a diverse work force. 

 

You must be able to work independently under general direction to support these functions, utilizing sound judgment, tact and discretion while possessing keen attention to detail, ensuring integrity, and exhibiting a high degree of adaptability in accomplishing the position's essential duties such as those indicated below.

Essential Duties

·        Consult with department hiring officials on developing job postings, advertising positions and performing specified recruiting searches. 

·        Review employment applications, evaluate minimum qualifications, and determine equivalent qualifications and desired qualifications. 

·        Prepare position announcements, advertisements and information materials for recruitment. 

·        Coordinate and schedule in-person and ZOOM interviews.

·        Respond to requests for employment and recruitment related information and assistance from supervisors, managers and applicants. 

·        Ensure integrity and ensure fairness that hiring activities comply with all ASU policies, state and federal laws.  

·        Maintain confidential information and records. 

·        Conduct verification of employment, reference checks, and schedule background checks and finger printing. 

·        Assist with onboarding activities. 

·        Attend job fairs and promote the department and ASU. 

·        Prepare periodic reports and records on program activities and status, or other special reports. 

·        Assist and coordinate contract recruitment. 

·        Conduct short-term and/or small scope project work to help meet department and FDM goals. 

·        Provide support to other unit staff performing a variety of recruitment/employment related functions including compensation/classification and position management. 

·        Establish and maintain effective working relationships and work in a team environment. 

·        Utilize computer to access and maintain information in PeopleSoft, BrassRing, Excel, Word, and Access. 

·        May lift and carry items up to 25 pounds.

 

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in a field appropriate to the area of assignment AND four years administrative/coordinate program experience; OR, Master's degree in field appropriate to area of assignment AND two years administrative/coordinate program experience; OR, Eight years of progressively responsible administrative/coordinate program experience; OR, Any equivalent combination of experience and/or education from which comparable knowledge, skills and abilities have been achieved.

 

Desired Qualifications

Experience in:

·        Developing job postings, interview questions

·        Screening resumes and evaluating applicants

·        Coordinating employment/recruitment activities

·        Background and reference checks

·        Collaboration and consultation with hiring managers

·        Using on-line recruitment software (i.e BrassRing, Workday)

Demonstrated knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) Slack, ZOOM, Adobe 

 

Evidence of effective communication skills

 

Working Environment

Activities are primarily performed in a regular, climate-controlled office setting subject to extended period of standing/sitting for varying lengths of time and travel moderate distances to perform work. Must have the ability to coordinate multiple tasks simultaneously and autonomously with a dynamic team of professionals. Exercises judgement within generally designed practices and policies in selecting methods and techniques for obtaining solutions. Regular use of standard office equipment including, but not limited to: computer workstation/laptop (keyboard, monitor, mouse), printer, fax, calculator, copier, telephone and associated computer/technology peripherals. Bend, reach, lift and pull up to 25 pounds. Communicate to perform essential functions of the job. Work both independently or within a complex structured team.   

 

DAYS AND SCHEDULE: Monday – Friday; 8:00am-5:00pm

This position is located at the University Services Building, 1551 S. Rural Road, Tempe, AZ (on Rural Road south of Apache Blvd). 

 

This position requires that you must possess a valid Arizona driver's license (minimum of Class D) upon employment and maintain throughout employment. Post-offer of employment, selected candidate must possess an acceptable driving record which is 5 or fewer points in the most recent 39 month period from date of hire.
