Staff Development, Education Coordinator develops, assesses, plans, implements and evaluates education and has oversite of orientation of all surgery center staff. Staff development includes writing program content, presenting education materials, assessing staff competence, monitoring effectiveness, and maintaining supporting documents and files. Staff development/education includes credentialing oversight and is responsible for leading, coordinating, monitoring, and maintaining the credentialing and re-credentialing process in the surgery centers. Facilitates required documents for credentialing, including initial appointment, reappointment, expiables process, needed for privileging of providers. Provide oversite for the maintenance of current files on practitioners. On behalf of the professional staff, advocates the enforcement of the Professional Staff Bylaws. Provides the tools and resources required to monitor compliance to national standards, Federal and State rules and regulations, and other accrediting bodies.
Assists the Quality Risk Manger to coordinate and ensure compliance with the regulatory requirements of the MN Department of Health, CMS, and the Joint Commission.

Advanced Cardiac Life Support
Education
Required

Bachelors or better in Nursing

Experience
Required

year: ACLS, BLS and PALS certification required

Preferred

year: Previous ambulatory surgery and or education coordinator experience preferred

Required

5 year: Degree in Nursing with Minimum of five years clinical experience, perioperative nursing experience preferred.
