How this role supports our mission:

The Store Lead may be responsible for direction of any store personnel in the absence of Store Manager, or Assistant Store Manager or Supervisor. Ensure all Goodwill policies and procedures are followed and submit necessary documentation on a timely basis.

What we require from you:

Special Requirements:

• High school diploma or GED or a minimum of one (1) year retail experience.
• Knowledgeable in merchandising and industry trends.

• May be required to have a valid Arizona driver license and auto insurance, reliable transportation, and acceptable driving record, per GISA insurance company guidelines.

• Ability to lift a minimum of 30 pounds and be able to stand for long periods at a time; bend, reach and stretch repeatedly during a shift.

Ability and willingness to perform all job tasks with a positive attitude.

Communicate in an honest, polite, and well-intentioned manner.

Do the right thing.

Securely handles cash, cash receipts, bank deposits, safe combination, and keys to the store as assigned.

Report all unusual or suspicious occurrences as they happen, or are brought to your attention, to the Store Manager.

Assist in preparing employee weekly work and break schedule. Set up the daily to do lists and ensure the work gets done.

Assist in any area of sales floor/backroom processing/production needed.

Assist in pricing, donor greeting or other areas of store operations.

Assist Store Manager in operating the store at/above goal and provide necessary direction to employees in the absence of store management staff.

Conduct Managing by Walking around throughout the entire day.

Communicate and assist customers and donors as needed.

Assist Store Management in day-to-day operation of the Store.

Work closely with all staff to ensure donations reach the sales floor within 24 hours.

Ability to read, write, and speak English; follow written and verbal instruction.

Basic math aptitude.

Ability and willingness to work flexible hours (including nights and weekends).

Willingness to transfer to other stores as requested.
