How this role supports our mission:

The Outlet Supervisor supervises the Outlet employees, ensure the proper material handling of merchandise from the dock and display merchandise for sale.

What we require from you:

Do the right thing.

Interview, train, supervise and counsel employees following internal policies/procedures.

Report all unusual or suspicious occurrences as they occur, or are brought to his/her attention, to the Auction Assistant Manager or Director of Donated Goods.

Assist in preparing employee weekly schedule and daily To Do list.

Communicate in a professional and courteous manner with everyone.

Ensure donations are protected and are processed in a timely manner.

Generate various data reports and handles bank functions, including daily bank deposits, bank receipts, daily sales records, getting change, etc.

Ensure equipment is available to be returned to other stores.

Maintain articles for disposal in neat and orderly fashion; coordinate trash service with the city.

Direct others in proper sorting and/or placement of merchandise in the Auction.

Accurately complete clerk tickets during the sales: record items sold, successful bidders, bidder number and the amount of the sale for each item sold.

Assist in the management of all salvage sales including textile, bale, scrap metal, aluminum, mattress, etc.

Ensure merchandise that should be sold in stores is set aside to be sent to stores.

Operate equipment in a constant state of alertness and in a safe manner.

Assist the Truck Drivers in backing up and parking trucks and trailers; unloads trucks and trailers and places merchandise in the proper location to go to the stores, auction, or dump.

Ability to carry out all functions of a Store Associate (see How this role supports our Mission above).

Ability to work independently, with minimum supervision.

Ability to be flexible and adapt to changing priorities and environment.

Ability to life a minimum of 50 pounds, stand for long periods of time, and bend, reach, and stretch repeatedly during a shift.

Ability to read, write, and speak English; follow written and verbal instruction.

Basic math aptitude.

Ability and willingness to work flexible hours (including nights and weekends).

Willingness to transfer to other stores as requested.
