.As the Strategic Planning Manage, you will help us drive strategy, business planning and reporting activities for the New York/New Jersey Market. This position is a key part of the leadership team in every Aetna market in the country, partnering with functional leaders to formulate and execute initiatives to drive revenue and membership growth, as well as coordination of expense reduction efforts. This role serves as a strategic advisor to the market president, with responsibilities including management of internal processes and development of executive presentations.
Fundamental Components
* Drive strategy, business planning and reporting activities for the NY/NJ Market.
* Drive strategy, business planning and reporting activities for the NY/NJ Market.
* Lead formulation, preparation and communication of strategic business plans.
* Ensure operational alignment to strategy of and tracking of progress.
* Assure comprehensive understanding of internal and external environmental influences. Monitor competitive behavior and highlight areas of risk and opportunity.
* Drive core components of strategic planning process, including developing qualitative and quantitative insights associated with competitive landscapes and market trends.
* Represent the NY/NJ Market on enterprise calls.
* Develop communication vehicles for presentations and meetings including but not limited to leadership team meetings, Town Halls, and Meet Day.
* Collaborate closely with Market President, client account teams, sales leadership, and cross-functional partners.
* Develop and nurture effective relationships with key internal and external partnerships.
* Facilitate large scale meetings and strategic workshops, including preparing and driving tangible outcomes/output.
* Identify issues, coordinate analysis and initiative action plans.
* Manage special projects that impact the NY/NJ Market.
Required Qualifications
* Demonstrated relationship management skills at the senior level within an organization.
* Demonstrated experience successfully working across a matrixed organization.
* Demonstrated experience with strategy, planning and reporting activities.
* 5+ years of experience with enterprise-wide and cross-functional large-scale initiatives with high degrees of complexity.
Preferred Qualifications
5+ years of health care experience preferred
Education
Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience
