ASU Student Business Services provides accounting functions in the areas of: Student Accounts, Cashiering Services, Collections, Tuition Assessment and Treasury Management.

Job Description:
ASU Student Business Services seeks a Student Account Representative. This position performs a variety of customer service activities within the Student Business Services department unit in order to provide courteous, prompt, and accurate assistance to students regarding their ASU account status. Additional job duties as assigned.
A successful candidate, not presently employed within Financial Services, will be paid a signing bonus of $750 and a $1,250 bonus after completing six months of employment within the department.

Essential Duties:
· Extensive customer service in person, via e-mail, and on the phone for a variety of student account related functions for ASU Student Business Services.
· Research Account activity to identify issues and resolve those issues in assigned area or report issues to the appropriate department.
· Process Transactions including waivers, charges, and credits to student accounts.
· Prepare reconciliations and departmental reports utilizing a variety of software including PeopleSoft, MyASU and Microsoft Office.
· Review, processing and resolution of accounts including but not limited to: Tuition, Billing, and Collection of account related matters.
· Develop and Create correspondence in response to student account inquiries.
· Answer a high volume of phone calls, respond to email inquiries and assist with in-person customer services.
· Updated departmental procedures relating to assigned accounting functions.
· Other duties as assigned.
Desired Qualifications:
· Experience in working in a high-volume customer services environment.
· Experience in accounts receivable environment.
· Experience in reconciling accounts.
· Experience in using Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, Outlook)
· Experience in preparing reports.
· Evidence of effective communication skills.
· Experience in using attention to detail skills.
Working Environment
· Activities are performed in an environmentally controlled office setting subject to extended periods of sitting, keyboarding, and manipulating a computer mouse.
· Required to stand for varying lengths of time and walk moderate distance to perform work.
· Occasional bending, reaching, lifting, pushing and pulling up to 25 pounds.
· Regular activities require ability to quickly change priorities which may include and/or are subject to resolution of conflicts.
· Clearly communicate to perform essential functions.
· Applicant must be eligible to work in the United States; ASU Student Business Services will not be a sponsor for this position.
Minimum Qualifications:
High School Diploma and three years (3) experience appropriate to the area of assignment/field; OR, Any equivalent combination of experience and/or training from which comparable knowledge, skills and abilities have been achieved.
