    JOB DESCRIPTION STUDENT INFORMATION SYSTEMS TECHNICIAN

    TITLE: Student Information Systems Technician
    FTE: 1.0

    WORK CALENDAR: 261 days

    SALARY GRADE: U

    FLSA STATUS: Non-exempt

    HOURS PER DAY: 8



    ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

    1.

    Responsible for state reporting and reconciliation of data to AzEDS

    2.

    Assists in computer setup, maintenance and support of all student information systems

    3.

    Utilizes data manipulation techniques and computer applications to provide aggregated data to administration

    4.

    Assists in computer setup and implementation of new state and federal required applications

    5.

    Provides support and information to the sites on AzEDS validation, submission and report reconciling

    6.

    Assists in the computer setup and implementation of new education programs within the district

    7.

    Assists in the training of District SMS users

    8.

    Provides support and information to the sites on ESS Discipline data submission and report reconciling

    9.

    Maintains confidentiality of student, staff, parent, school, employee, and District information

    10.

    Standard, managing upload and working with Synergy Gradebook

    11.

    Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail

    12.

    Ability to work independently and be a self-starter

    13.

    Perform responsibilities in an ethical and professional manner

    14.

    Maintain punctual and regular attendance

    15.

    Perform other job related duties as assigned

    KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIRED

    Education / Certificate

    1. Must possess a high school diploma, but a college degree is preferable

    2. Obtain and maintain a valid Arizona Fingerprint Clearance Card (FPCC)
      or successfully complete fingerprint and background checks

    Experience

    1. Five (5) years of clerical experience and knowledge of general office practices and procedures

    2. Knowledge of Student Management Systems

    3. Knowledge of ADE Business Rules and submission process

    4. Exceptional Data entry skills

    Communication Skills

    1. Excellent verbal and written communication skills

    2. Must possess ability to work cooperatively with parents, students, administrators, faculty, staff and general public

    3. Bilingual communication is beneficial and preferred

    Computer Skills

    1. Knowledge of Google Suites

    2. Knowledge of Microsoft Office
