Job Description:
We are looking for a highly organized and detail-oriented Student Services Specialist to support student onboarding, immigration processes, admissions, advising, and overall student success. This role requires strong communication skills, a proactive approach to problem-solving, and the ability to collaborate with various departments to enhance the student experience.
Salary range: $48,000 - $53,000
Essential Duties:
- Student Onboarding & Immigration Support
- Review new students’ initial reporting documentation and request corrections as needed
- Pull I-94s for new students and verify immigration compliance
- Identify students with unpaid I-901 fees and coordinate outreach through the GL Welcome Desk
- Update the New Student Registration tracker and Salesforce reports
- Support all transfer students, including pre-enrollment transfer requests
- Manage F-1 related tasks for Pathways students, including processing no-show students and handling digital course withdrawals and refunds
Admissions & Student Advising Support
- Assist with admissions for Pathways, Digital Courses, and Quick Launch programs
- Advise campus immersion students, online immersion students, and digital course students to support academic success
- Monitor new student tracking and oversee outreach efforts for engagement and retention
New Student Orientation & Engagement
- Assist with planning and executing new student orientation and onboarding (both in-person and online)
- Provide support for Group and Custom Programs (GCP) orientation events and check-ins
- Coordinate airport pick-up and drop-off for GCP students
Administrative & Operational Support
- Manage time-sensitive tasks and student communications
- Track attendance sheets and ensure accuracy in reporting
- Work with Salesforce reports and analytics for student success tracking, sponsored student reporting, and other key initiatives
- Maintain and update manuals, guides, and knowledge articles following ASU format and accessibility requirements
Desired Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in field appropriate to area of assignment AND two years of administrative and appropriate program experience
- Experience in student services, academic advising, or related fields preferred
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Proficiency in Salesforce or similar CRM tools is a plus
- Familiarity with ASU and/or Global Launch
Working Environment:
- Activities are performed in an environmentally controlled office setting subject to extended periods of sitting, keyboarding and manipulating a computer mouse
- Frequently required to stand for varying lengths of time and walk moderate distances to perform work
- Regular activities require ability to quickly change priorities which may include and/or are subject to resolution of conflicts
- Flexible work arrangement options are available based on job duties and department approval
Minimum Qualifications:
Associate's degree and one (1) year of experience appropriate to the area of assignment/field; OR, Any equivalent combination of experience and/or training from which comparable knowledge, skills and abilities have been achieved.
