Supported Employment Coach

The Arc Tampa Bay is seeking an individual with the desire and capability to be an ambasador for people with intellectual and developmental disabilities. Our job coaches assist people with I/DD in obtaining and maintaining employment. A new addition to the job description involves helping younger adults with developmental disabilities through the Discovery process. This process involves meeting with, talking to, getting to know, and assessing young adults with DD whom are getting ready to enter the workforce.

An Arc Tampa Bay job Coach typically has a caseload of less than 25 individuals. Some already have jobs and some don't.

The ideal candiate for this position will meet all necessary education and background requirements, and be an expert in self-motivation. The schedule is flexible, but will have to be based around the needs of the individuals on the assigned caseload.

Use of your own personal vehicle is required. You would first have to take our Transportation and road test trainings, and then provide copies of your auto mobile insurance and registration to the HR Department. The Arc Tampa Bay does pay mileage reimbursement at a rate of $.40 per mile.

Taking and successfully completing all required APD/DCF and Vocational Rehabilitation trainings is key. The Arc Tampa Bay does pay its' respective employees for all time spent training.

Daily documentation using Therap, a secure internet site, is a primary responsibility.

The Arc Tampa's wages are among the most competitive for the field! We also provide Medical, Dental, and Life Insurance at NO COST to the full-time employee.

Bachelors Degree in business, nursing, education, or a social/behavioral/rehabilitative science. An Associates Degree and 2 years of experience in one of the above fields shall substitute for a Bachelors degree. Experience in one of the above fields shall substitute on a year-for-year basis for the required college education.
