Pay Range

$22. 75 - $32.03/hr

The Surgical Tech works under the supervision of the surgeon and RN. Assists surgical team during operative procedures by arranging and inventorying sterile set-up of instruments, equipment and supplies for surgical cases and passing items to surgeons and nurses as needed. Assists in preparing and moving patients and sterilizing and cleaning instruments, equipment and rooms.

The Surgery department at Porter Adventist Hospital has 21 Operating Room (OR) suites, including a hybrid suite. The OR specializes in total joint replacement, complex spine, cardiothoracic, vascular, transplant, ophthalmic, DaVinci general and cardiac , orthopedic, and spine robotics, ENT, and general surgery. Transplants include liver, living related kidney, and paired kidney exchanges. The OR does many high acuity, complex surgical cases. This position provides the opportunity to join a specialty surgical team which promotes a high level of expertise within each service line.

Schedule: Variable Shifts - Three 12 hour shifts (Call Required)

Qualified external applicants eligible for a $10,000 sign-on bonus, no contract required! Cannot be a current or recent Centura employee to qualify. Minimum of 1 year experience required. Must be hired into a Full-Time or Part-time position; PRN positions are not eligible.

What You Bring/Job Requirements

In addition to bringing your whole self to the workplace each day, qualified candidates will need the following:

• One year of experience in a surgical setting preferred
• Experience in transplant or cardiovascular services, preferred
• Experience in a specialty field preferred
• Basic Computer skills required
• High School Diploma or GED required
• Basic Life Support (BLS) from the American Heart Association required
• Completion of an approved Surgical Technician program preferred
• Current registration as a Surgical Tech is required unless performing Surgical Tech functions within the scope of another verified Colorado license, certification or registration required

Physical Requirements-Medium Work - (Exert up to 50lbs force occasionally, and/or up to 20lbs frequently, and/or up to 10lbs constantly)
