Responsibilities

A Day in the Life of a Systems Administrator HRIS:

As the Systems Administrator HRIS you are responsible for supporting and managing the companys HRIS applications and modules. You will be responsible for managing the internal databases of the various systems. You will also be involved with the configuration, implementation and training of new systems, including payroll, applicant tracking system, performance management system and other systems related to HR software. You will serve as a lead representative and liaison between HR, information services, external vendors, and other stakeholders for HRIS design and implementation projects.

Your Responsibilities include, but not limited to:

  • Oversees and maintains optimal function of the HRIS, which may include installation, customization, development, maintenance, and upgrade to applications, systems, and modules to support 1400 employees.
  • Provides technical support, troubleshooting, and guidance to HRIS users.
  • Collaborates with executive leadership and HR staff to identify system improvements and enhancements; recommends and implements solutions.
  • Creates, maintains, and improves Ceridian (Dayforce) configuration and integrations to other applications, including ATS (iCIMS) Performance Management System (Halogen), and other tools.
  • Provides technical support and troubleshooting on configuration and new functionality related to systems.
  • Creates and reviews technical documentation for new and existing processes, policies, and user guides.
  • Participates in team projects that are directly associated with payroll system or other HRIS software.
  • Manages permissions, access, personalization, and similar system operations and settings for HRIS users.
  • Ensures compliance with federal, state, and local payroll, wage, and hour laws and best practices.
  • Record and process employee information including annual leave, salaries and working hours.
  • Programs custom functions and documentation such as automated queries, filters, macros, and reports.
  • Compiles or assists with the acquisition of complex data reports, summaries, and logs for senior executives and HR staff.
  • Serves as lead representative and liaison between HR, information services, external vendors, and other stakeholders for HRIS design and implementation projects.
  • Ensures system compliance with data security and privacy requirements.
  • Maintains knowledge of trends and developments in HRIS providers, vendors, and technology.
  • Keeps management and employees apprised of any new processes or other important information through memos, reports and attendance at local regional meetings.
  • Performs other duties as required.
Qualifications

What You Need for Success:

  • At least 3-5 years of experience focusing on HR Systems Administration for a large company with over 1000+ employees.
  • Experience with HR related software - Payroll (Ceridian Dayforce), ATS, (iCims), Performance Management software).
  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Human Resources Management, Business Administration, or related field preferred.
  • Excellent communication skills (both written and verbal).
  • Excellent interpersonal and technical support skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills, accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Familiarity with human resource policies and procedures to ensure the HRIS meets organizational needs and goals.
  • Ability to work in a collaborative team environment and ability to complete work within demanding time-lines.
  • Strong presentation and customer service skills.
  • Able to work independently, solution-oriented and take initiative.
  • Able to work on multiple projects with accuracy and efficiency, while keeping to deadlines.
  • Confidentiality and discretion are of the utmost importance.
  • This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as desk computers, smart phones, photocopiers, fax machines and file cabinets.
  • Must be able to talk, listen and speak clearly on telephone.
  • The position requires mobility within the office. Constantly operates a computer, phone and other office machinery such as a scanner and copy machine.
  • This position requires minimal travel (less than 10%).
  • Must possess a positive and professional demeanor in all interactions, under all circumstances.
  • Must be able to deal with a fast-paced, constantly changing work environment, including handling multiple tasks on a daily basis.
  • May require use of personal or company vehicle.
  • Employees must fulfill the performance standards of this position and comply with policies, rules and procedures of the company, including those set out in the Employee Handbook or otherwise communicated (verbally or writing) to employees.
  • Ability to lift a minimum of 20 lbs.
