1. Systems Engineer - Data Operations: A. The position is part of a global technology team - Global Data Operations, primarily responsible for managing customer data feeds and job automation. Located out of India Kolkata, but work hours will be split across various time zones - like US and Europe. B. Rotational shift duty including morning, afternoon, evening, and night shifts, along with rotational duties on weekends.
C. Education/Experience/Skills: i. BE/B. Tech./BCA/MCA/B. Sc./M. SC in IT, Computer Science, with approximately 2/3 years of experience as detailed below. ii. Working knowledge and confident with RDMBS and SQL. iii. Having worked on MS Access, MS SQL and/or Oracle. iv. Ability to write SQL queries of moderate complexity. v. Familiarity with any reporting tool, like crystal reports or SSRS. vi. Good understanding and capabilities on spreadsheet like MS Excel. vii. Analytical skills to trouble shoot database issues with underlying tables/records involving business rules. viii. Ability to learn new technical tools and systems. ix. Expected to be confident in verbal and written English communication. x. Must have high team spirit and interpersonal skills. xi. Accountability is highly expected as part of behavioral traits. xii. Motivated for achieving growth by contributing and learning in a team with global exposure.
D. The JD would include: i. Data feed management for multiple global programs which include both manual and automated job/task processing. ii. Monitor execution status of global feeds, trouble shoot/escalate as necessary on receiving job alerts. iii. L1/L2 level trouble shooting of failed feed jobs. iv. Create automated jobs by analyzing existing manual ones. v. Implement business rule execution, data reconciliation and feed processes with MS Access, MS SQL and using power shell scripts. vi. Independently design mid-sized database, write queries, procedures, and macros. vii. Design processes, macros for data extraction, updating report generation. viii. Interaction with other technical teams to understand issues, trouble shoot and resolve the same independently/in consultation with team/senior authorities. ix. Create periodic reports for higher management, using SQL and other MS Office tools. x. Ownership and resolution of tickets created in the Data Operations domain. xi. Maintain assignment tracker, with status and ETA for delivery schedules. xii. Maintain extensive documentation and change management records.
