Position Summary | The University of New Mexicos School of Engineering is seeking a highly motivated, knowledgeable, detail-oriented, and flexible Systems/Network Analyst 2 to join the engineering team. Specifically, this position will provide an intermediate professional level of onsite and remote technical support to the Department of Electrical & Computer Engineering (ECE). Under indirect supervision, this position will be responsible for support in areas of moderately advanced complexity in the overall maintenance, deployment, and management of IT services in the ECE department. Daily operations include, but are not limited to, deployment planning, laboratory and department classroom management, hardware/software configuration and licensing management (FlexNet, WlmAdmin, CodeMeter, LSAdmin, etc.), routine installation and maintenance, network administration, print server management, Linux server management, Microsoft AD/OU administration and Microsoft server management. The successful candidate will provide technical/functional guidance to users in the planning & implementation of applications, systems, and/or networks projects. The ECE department currently has 3 Linux servers, 3 Microsoft Windows Servers, and four computer labs with approximately 100 machines. The candidate will report directly to the ECE department chair and department administrator, as well as collaborate and meet with the SOE IT team. May supervise or provide functional direction to assigned staff and/or student employees.

Minimum Qualifications |
Bachelor's degree; at least 1 year of progressively responsible experience directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified. Higher education and/or experience that is directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified may be interchangeable on a year for year basis. |
