OBJECTIVE AND POSITION SUMMARY


This position is responsible for achieving recruitment processes and outcomes for CPLC including, but not limited to, proactively sourcing, posting and advertising open positions, processing and screening applications, ensuring minimum qualifications are met, coordinating interviews, administering pre -employment assessments, providing recommendations to hiring managers, preparing necessary documentation, and notifying candidates of hiring decisions.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES


This position is not a supervisory position, but will work closely with the recruitment team and hiring managers.

SPECIALIZATIONS


A wide degree of creativity and adaptability are required to meet the challenges faced by this position. Extensive experience working within full-cycle talent acquisition is required for success in this role.

A team player attitude is necessary to achieve the goals of full-cycle talent acquisition, including pre-boarding and onboarding.

Sound judgment, a commitment to compliance and confidentiality, superior written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills and attention to detail are essential functions of this position.

PRIMARY DUTIES AND ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS


  1. Achieves staffing objectives by recruiting and evaluating job candidates; advising managers for corporate, metropolitan and rural sites.
  1. Conducts recruiting efforts developed to brand CPLC as an employer of choice in the local markets using innovative recruitment strategies with consideration given to diversity, generational characteristics, etc.
  1. Champions affirmative action efforts in all aspects of sourcing and hiring.
  2. Proactively attracts applicants and builds and maintains talent pipelines and candidate pools to meet current and future staffing needs through researching and contacting community services, networking groups, colleges, media, and internet sites; providing organization information, opportunities, and benefits; making presentations; and maintaining rapport.
  3. Develops and Implements a social media recruiting strategy.
  4. Conducts company job fairs and hiring events. Attends community job fairs and hiring events.
  5. Determines applicant qualifications by interviewing applicants, analyzing responses, verifying references, and comparing qualifications to job requirements.
  6. Evaluates applicants by discussing job requirements and applicant qualifications with managers and interviewing applicants on a consistent set of qualifications. Assists with interview process upon request.
  1. Provides monthly activity reports to direct supervisor, or as requested.
  2. Ensure all recruitment efforts are in compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
  3. Maintain knowledge of industry trends and required changes.
  4. Ensures expenditures do not exceed allocated budget; tracks expenditures to ensure they remain within established guidelines.
  5. Maintains record-keeping systems relating to assigned duties.
  6. Collaborates with Staffing Coordinator by providing support to achieve onboarding tasks.
  7. Performs other related duties as assigned.


MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS AND COMPETENCIES


The ideal candidate will be a motivated, results driven, self-starter who holds a Bachelors degree in Business, Organizational Development, Communications, or other related area, and minimally has two (2) years of hands-on recruitment experience. Equivalent combinations of education and experience may be considered to meet the qualifications for this position. Bilingual English/Spanish is preferred, but not required.

In addition, proficiency of computer fundamentals and business software is required, Office 365 preferred. The candidate must be self-directed and work independently, however must communicate effectively, both orally and in writing, to provide a high level of support to programs and business units. The Talent Recruiter will require a high degree of resourcefulness, creativity and ethical standards to successfully meet all recruitment goals. Additionally, exceptional collaboration, project management and organizational skills are required for success in this role.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND TYPICAL WORKING CONDITIONS


Office Position: This position is both a mobile and a sedentary position with periods of light physical activity, and is performed mostly in office surroundings. Positions typical in nature require regular walking or standing; sitting, lifting and carrying up to 20 pounds; climbing stairs, bending, reaching, holding, grasping and turning objects; and using fingers to operate computer keyboards. This position will require the ability to speak normally and to use normal or aided vision and hearing.

Travel: Local, interstate and intrastate travel to Chicanos Por La Causa, Inc., its affiliates and/or subsidiaries, may be necessary to fulfill the duties of this position. Candidate must have and maintain a valid drivers license and auto insurance. Technology will be utilized to minimize travel whenever feasible. The travel requirements for this position are anticipated to be 15 to 25 percent assignment depending. Overnight travel must be approved in advance by the Department VP.

Telecommute: Position may have the option to partially telecommute with prior approval from the Department VP.

Telecommuting is not guaranteed and subject to job need and/or job performance.

Continuous Learning: All certifications related to the position at hire, or obtained while employed by CPLC, must be maintained. Candidate will be expected to participate in continuous learning opportunities to maintain competency and enhance skillset. Learning opportunities must be approved by Department VP.
