This is an exciting opportunity to be a part of our back end CVS Specialty Pharmacy! As a CVS Specialty dispensing lead, and pharmacy technician, you will be in charge of managing workflow, and leading a team of pharmacy techs to ensure all orders ship and any order related issues are resolved by the end of the night. You will be responsible for coordinating with other department leads on a daily basis to ensure time/date specific functions are completed and ensure all downloaded orders ship in a timely manner.
You will work under the direct supervision of the backend supervisor to select, prepare, and package medication and supplies in preparation for shipment to patients. This will also include assisting drug specific coordinators in managing the programming, disbursement, and tracking of medical infusion pumps and shipping medications associated with a specific therapy. A successful dispensing lead will need to be very motivated, multitask effectively, and be able to collaborate and communicate clearly with multiple teams to ensure on time delivery of critical medications.
The CVS specialty dispensing lead must be able to assist with all fulfillment duties including:
- Selecting, picking, packaging and labeling medications and ancillary supplies per prescriptions orders
- Accurately counting of medications utilizing a manual process as well as any automated counting devices if needed
- Performs functions &/or responsibilities of an Operations Assistant as needed
- Managing work flow, troubleshooting and handling exceptions, replenishment, and ensuring required cleaning and logging of the automated dispensing equipment is completed

Required Qualifications
* Ability to stand/reach/twist/turn/stoop/walk and lift up to 50 lbs
* Massachusetts Pharmacy Technician license
* 2 or more years of pharmacy technician experience in a dispensing environment including assisting in managing operation workflow
Preferred Qualifications
* Previous experience working in a pick/pack/ship environment
* Prior healthcare related experience
* Previous experience with Microsoft Teams and Outlook
Education
* HS diploma or GED equivalent
