• Job Title: Inside Sales Representative
• Location: Southwest Houston area
• Pay: Up to $80k annually depending on experience
• Hours: 8-5
• Duration: Direct Hire
• Description of Duties: Southwest Houston area company seeks a Technical Inside Sales Representative for a newly created position. The Technical Inside Sales Representative will participate in the promotion and sales of automation and control systems products and services that are included in the business unit portfolio. Establish and maintain relationships with customers and factory personnel in order to provide technical consultation and resolve customer issues. Maintain a thorough knowledge of all products and services included in the assigned company business unit portfolio. Conduct seminars and deliver technical information on products and services. Assess customer requirements, relate the requirements to products and services, and develop proposals to provide these products and services. Participate in sales visits as appropriate and required. Provide status reports to sales and service management.
• Requirements: BS/BA degree preferred in a discipline that supports a technical knowledge of the business. Knowledge of the sales process, products and services included in automation and controls systems. 4+ years experience in a process or manufacturing facility working in a technical capacity. Will also consider 3+ years in an engineering company with responsibility for automation project design and implementation. Direct experience in a sales oriented work environment. Proficient in order management cycle including planning, entry, status tracking and reporting, expediting, and change management.
