Job Description

The Technology Program Coodinator works with Branch leadership and Youth Development Professionals to ensure high-quality programming and youth development practices are implemented in the technology center. The Technology Program Coordinator is responsible for implementing an innovative year round program focusing on technology in the areas of digital art, STEM, music, eSports, coding, animation, virtual reality, robotics aligned with academic enrichment and, career exploration. All programs are designed to drive positive outcomes for youth and reinforce necessary life skills. The Technology Program Coordinator will assist with Branch program planning, program implementation, member program coordination and supervision of programs and activities for youth and/or teens

JOB RESPONSBILITIES

  • Ensures the safety and security of staff, members, volunteers, facility and Club assets
  • Responsible for the operation, upkeep, maintenance and storage of all equipment in the technology center
  • Supports annual recruitment, member retention, and attendance goals
  • Responsible for open and close the Club as needed, provide direct supervision during operating hours
  • Cultivates collaborative relationships with technology partners
  • Leads and implements planning, development and evaluation of Club programs in the area of technology, music, digital arts, and STEM. Ensure programs meet priority outcomes and member needs
  • Provides opportunities for youth and teens to access technology in a learning environment in alignment with academic and career exploration
  • Initiates and maintain community contacts; families, schools and other organizations and institutions as directed
  • Participates in a BGCAZ meetings and work committees
  • Transports youth and/or teens to during Club sponsored activities to enhance programming and special experiences

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE, LICENSURE and CERTIFICATION

  • Must possess a high school diploma or equivalency certificate
  • Must obtain/maintain a current CPR, First Aid, and Food Handlers Certification (within first 90 days of employment)
  • Must have and maintain a valid Arizona drivers license
  • Experience and working knowledge of Adobe Suite, Creative Cloud, Audio Quest,3-D printers, vinyl cutters, or similar software

KNOWLEDGE, ABILITY and SKILLS

  • Working knowledge of federal and state laws and company policies and procedures
  • Ability to participates in investigations
  • Ability to support the physical property and assets of the Club
  • Ability to manage small and large groups of youth in various settings.
  • Ability to implement effective individual behavior management
  • Ability to maintain and cultivate excellent member/family and community relationships and possess excellent customer service skills
  • Ability to interact effectively and communicate (in writing and orally) with a variety of youth, staff, volunteers, families, and community members.
  • Ability to establish learning objectives for program and activities
  • Knowledge of Youth Development service delivery
  • Ability to articulate for giving, serve as an ambassador, engage in relationship building and promote philanthropy
  • Ability to support the efficiency of Volunteers and future workforce needs to support volunteer program operations
