Temp Parttime Faculty CNST - req# 14462

UNM-Taos Professional Skills Department invites applicants for Temporary Part time Faculty positions (Adjunct) to teach lower division courses in Construction Technology. These positions will be hired on an as needed basis dependent on student enrollment, course offering matrix, and graduation requirements. Potential courses include lower division (100-200 level) courses in the abovementioned disciplines include the following:

CNST 136 Sustainable Food and Farming - 3 credit hours

This course will give students the knowledge and resources to develop a deep understanding and appreciation of farming practices, growing and marketing "real" food, farm-based educational systems, food advocacy, community development, sustainability, and public policy.

Minimum Qualifications:

* A Bachelors Degree and professional experience in the area which they are applying to teach. Applicant must have completed a program of study in the discipline or subfield in which they teach, with coursework at least one level above that of the courses being taught or developed (e.g., completed a minimum of 18 graduate credit hours in the discipline or subfield in which they teach or tested experience that is determined to be equivalent to the degree).


Preferred Qualifications:

* Masters Degree in related field

* Successful experience in practice or field work (if applicable).

* A demonstrated commitment to diversity, equity, inclusion, and student success, as well as working with broadly diverse communities
