Position Summary | The School ofArchitecture and Planning is seeking temporary, part-time Lecturers to teachgraduate level courses in the Landscape Architecture Graduate Degree Program.The positions are open until filled. The Department of Landscape Architecture at The University of New Mexico iscommitted to providing a strong and comprehensive graduate education designedto prepare graduates to enter the profession of landscape architecture asprivate, public or academic practitioners; and, to promote research and inquirythat contributes to knowledge in the discipline. The core educational missionof the program is the investigation of principles and theories of LandscapeArchitecture, their application as tools for critical thinking and theirsynthesis in design thinking, as they apply to issues of the Southwest and in alarger world context of social, cultural, environmental and evolutionaryinfluences on the landscape. The School of Architecture and Planning is housed on UNMs main campus in theaward-winning George Pearl Hall, designed by architect Antoine Predock. Inaddition to the spacious, naturally-lit design studios, the building has aFabrication Lab and Computer/Print Lab.
