CLASS SUMMARY: Under general direction, incumbent(s) assists the schools 21st Century site coordinator by handling the Wednesday performances including, assisting with organizing of weekly performances and supervision of support staff, monitoring student behavior, attending trainings, and being primary contact for various program vendors.

Assists the Site Coordinator with organizing the schools 21st Century Wednesday performances- by arranging set up of weekly assembly, coordinating with other school staff for assembly participation, and monitoring student attendance and participation. Meets weekly with Site Coordinator to review and set up special accommodations necessary for each performance. Weekly

Assists with the supervision of 21st Century support staff for the Wednesday PLC performances, including monitoring student supervision and determining supervisory plan. Meets with staff to review expectations and plans for upcoming assemblies. Ensures positive staff engagement and participation. Collaborates with other school programs attending performance. Weekly

Monitors student behavior and enforces school and classroom standards and policies. Ensures staff is placed strategically during the assemblies to maximize student supervision. Serves as primary responder to student discipline issues. Ensures student safety and supervision at all times. Weekly

Oversees smooth operation of Wednesday performances. Interacts with performance vendors to include securing parking for vendor, greeting vendor upon arrival and providing hospitality. Provides performance introduction and reviews expectations for student behavior. Weekly

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
To be eligible for this position, an applicant must meet the following required qualifications. In addition, verification of these required qualifications is necessary.

  • High School diploma or equivalent (G.E.D.) prior to being hired;
  • Six months of working with children in a learning environment or related experience;
  • Valid cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) certificate within thirty days of hire.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
It is preferred that applicant possess the following preferred qualifications; however, the following qualifications are not required to be eligible for this position.

  • Proficiency in English and target language.
