Job Description

SUMMARY
Administers language assessment evaluations to bilingual students to determine primary language.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
One year of experience working with children in an educational setting.

Bilingual - Spanish/English

Basic computer and word processing skills.

Verbal & written communication skills in English and a demonstrated ability to read and comprehend written/graphic and oral instructions.

Any equivalent combination of experience, training, or education.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

Administer/Assist with assessments to students at school sites based on information provided by Language Assessment Coordinator(s). Enter test responses into designated database(s). Review demographic data on test books and enter correct student data for submission to Pearson. Arranges for facility to administer evaluation. Arranges for the release of students from class for testing. Determines level of evaluation to administer according to established criteria. Ensures all information on student record is accurate and complete. Research discrepancies and request corrections as required. Inventory testing materials at department and school sites as needed. Assist with PHLOTE Compliance Documentation reviews. Assist with preparation and distribution of required forms/materials. Other duties deemed necessary by department director/supervisor.

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS AFTER HIRE
FBI fingerprint background check.

Proof of immunity to rubeola (measles) and rubella (German measles), or proof of MMR immunization.

Valid Arizona Drivers license

MVReport - showing no more than the allowable points against Drivers License as described under Governing Board Policy: EEB-R-1 Business and Personnel Transportation Services - Transportation by Employees.

Location: Language Acquisition Department - Various Sites
Classification: White Collar - Grade: 3

FTE: 1.0 - 8 hours per day
Work Calendar: 9.5 month

Positions less than 30 hours per week are not eligible for district benefits.
