    Work Calendar: 12-Month
    Pay Rate: $19.61 - $23.44
    Other: This position requires working weekday evenings and weekends.
    CLASSIFICATION SPECIFICATION

    CLASS SUMMARY:

    Manage theater technical staff for both production and rental events and other agency events. Oversee maintenance of stage equipment and various aspects of the facility. Coordinate staffing for events; maintain equipment inventory; create and manage databases for equipment tracking; communicate with clients in advance about event technical requirements; provide assistance to the Facilities Usage Supervisor.

    Set up and operation of:

    Audio and video equipment including microphones, sound speakers, video screens, projectors, video monitors, cameras, video production gear, recording equipment, connecting wires and cables, sound and mixing boards, and related electronic equipment for concerts, meetings, and conventions, presentations, and other events as needed.

    Theatrical lighting equipment and provide additional technical support for agency theatrical activities for both production and rental events and other agency activities. Act as an event manager for various events. Assist with facility maintenance. Required to travel to various other locations around the state to provide technical support for agency events.

    Position will be responsible for some or all of the listed duties and/or additional duties that occur from time to time.

    TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE:
    • High School Diploma or GED
    • 4 years of experience or combination of College coursework and verifiable operation experience with sound and lighting systems or video production or event management.
    • Experience with staff coordination and supervision
    • Or degree in theater arts or related field

    LICENSING/CERTIFICATION REQUIERMENTS:
    • Must be able to pass FBI and State background check or Fingerprint Clearance Card as position requires by policy or Statute
    • Defensive Driver Training Program to be completed by all agency personnel that drive on State business
    • Must have a valid Arizona State Driver's License

    KNOWLEDGE OF:
    • Policies, procedures, and programs of the immediate work unit
    • Principles and practices of administration and management
    • Agency or program rules, regulations, and operating procedures
    • Stage rigging and operation of sound and lighting systems
    • Maintenance, installation and repair of electrical and mechanical equipment used in stage production
    • Video production systems
    • Utilization of proper safety practices and procedures
    • Staff supervision and scheduling

    DEMONSTRATED SKILL/ABILITY TO:
    • Ensure the safe technical operations of theater equipment and facility
    • Install, operate and maintain equipment, materials, tools and supplies used in technical production
    • Evaluate equipment needs and notify Theater Technical Director of need to repair or replace equipment
    • Effective event management
    • Troubleshoot theater equipment problems
