Job Summary:

The division of Health Care Management is seeking an Auditor 3. This position is primarily responsible for monitoring and assessing managed care entities and sister state agencies contractual compliance relating to financial reporting and finance deliverables.

The incumbent in this position develops and prepares numerous summary reports for all levels of management for both internal and external stakeholders.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities (KSAs):

Knowledge of:
* Accounting principles and auditing practices
* Software applications including but not limited to: Excel, MS Access, Cognos, Powerpoint * Health care industry and delivery systems preferably managed care
* Complex research techniques

Skills in:
* Application of accounting principles and auditing practices
* Financial analysis and research
* Communication (verbal and written) with a wide variety of people

Ability to:
* Interpret federal and state laws as well as agency contracts and policies
* Work independently
* Plan, organize and multi-task to ensure completion of multiple work assignments within required time-frames
* Ability to reason, form concepts and solve problems using unfamiliar information or new procedures
* Work effectively with a variety of people

Selective Preference(s):

Minimum: At least two years' experience as an Auditor or equivalent.

Preference: Bachelors Degree in accounting or closely related field. Four years of eligibility experience, or Medical or Health Care background

Pre-Employment Requirements:

* Successfully complete the Electronic Employment Eligibility Verification Program (E-Verify), applicable to all newly hired State employees.

* Successfully pass fingerprint background check, prior employment verifications and reference checks; employment is contingent upon completion of the above-mentioned process and the agencys ability to reasonably accommodate any restrictions.

* Travel may be required for State business. Employees who drive on state business must complete any required driver training (see Arizona Administrative Code R2-10-207.12.) AND have an acceptable driving record for the last 39 months including no DUI, suspension or revocations and less than 8 points on your license. If an Out of State Driver License was held within the last 39 months, a copy of your MVR (Motor Vehicle Record) is required prior to driving for State Business. Employees may be required to use their own transportation as well as maintaining valid motor vehicle insurance and current Arizona vehicle registration; however, mileage will be reimbursed.
