This position is eligible for part-time/full-time remote work (including virtual office arrangement). Must reside in the State of Arizona.
Job Summary:

The Division of Fee for Service Management is looking for a highly motivated individual to join our team as a Clinical Business Operations Specialist. This position is responsible for providing senior level support for the Division Fee for Service Management's Deputy Assistant Director, clinical Administrator, Medical Director, and units, coordinating and/or managing several projects, pulling, updating, and maintaining various reports to support the claims units and DFSM administration. As needed the position supports the division by participating in various committees and completes recruitment activities as assigned.
Major duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to:
? Provides senior level support to leadership & staff in the clinical units including managing calendars for the Deputy Assistant Director & Medical Directors. Maintains clinical policies & procedures for effective workflow within the unit & responds to requests for information re: unit processes. Conducts research & manages special projects.
? Creates, tracks, updates, and maintains daily, weekly, monthly, and other unit reports which reflect metrics such as workload, performance measures and productivity for the division and clinical unit utilizing PMMIS, Control D, Excel, and Google sheets as needed.
? Conducts research and compiles data regarding grievances & interface w/Medical Directors, as needed. Tracks medical reviews completed by AHCCCS Medical Directors, tracks & manages appeals submitted to the unit coordinating with the unit's leadership as needed. Processes notice of actions related to service authorization decisions & research/coordinates prior authorization submitted for reconsideration.
? Serves as the HR Business Partner performing recruitment related activities as assigned and participating in the divisions' Human Resources Work Group.
? Management of mailed prior authorization documents and coordination of mailed dental authorizations and referrals re: dental procedures, responds to internal/external requests for information related to unit processes.
? Coordinates extended dialysis patient groups regarding certification of medical necessary, eligibility status, tracking and updating services, etc.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities (KSAs):

Knowledge:
? Principles and practice of administration.
? Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Share Point, Google suite software applications.
? Principles of project management.

Skills:
? Effective oral and written communication.
? Planning, organization, and time management - ability to prioritize project and tasks.
? Analysis and problem solving as it relates to varied responsibilities.

Abilities:
? Ability to learn Human Resources Information Solution (HRIS), Page Up, and other systems.
? Make effective decisions & work in a high volume, fast paced environment.
? Gather data & produce meaningful reports.

Qualifications:

Minimum:
? Three (3) years of senior level administrative experience or Administration Certification.

Preferred:
? Associate in Business Administration or four years of senior level administrative experience.

Pre-Employment Requirements:

* Successfully complete the Electronic Employment Eligibility Verification Program (E-Verify), applicable to all newly hired State employees.
* Successfully pass fingerprint background check, prior employment verifications and reference checks; employment is contingent upon completion of the above-mentioned process and the agencys ability to reasonably accommodate any restrictions.
* Travel is required for State business. Employees who drive on state business must complete any required driver training (see Arizona Administrative Code R2-10-207.12.) AND have an acceptable driving record for the last 39 months including no DUI, suspension or revocations and less than 8 points on your license. If an Out of State Driver License was held within the last 39 months, a copy of your MVR (Motor Vehicle Record) is required prior to driving for State Business. Employees may be required to use their own transportation as well as maintaining valid motor vehicle insurance and current Arizona vehicle registration; however, mileage will be reimbursed.
