Position Summary

Motivation for continuous improvement of students experience with transferring to the University of New Mexico is what the Office of Advising Strategies is seeking in a Transfer & Articulation Officer. The position supports the Universitys initiative to enhance UNMs transfer student population by engaging with our New Mexico Higher Education partners.

What you will do:

Create academic partnerships with New Mexico higher education Institutions.

Facilitate meetings with internal and external constituents to review transferability criteria from other institutions.

Develop, track, and maintain transfer articulation and partnerships.

Maintain data and analyze statistical information to identify trends.

Prepare and present information about transfer students and their experience.

Collaborate with UNM faculty, departments and colleges.

Provide training and development to internal departments.

Conditions of Employment
  • Possession of a valid New Mexico driver's license is a requirement for this job.
  • Employees who provide services or work in patient care or clinical areas are required to be in compliance with the University's influenza vaccination requirement.
Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor's degree; at least 5 years of experience directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified.

Completed degree(s) from an accredited institution that are above the minimum education requirement may be substituted for experience.

Preferred Qualifications

Masters Degree

Experience developing degree plans in partnership with faculty.

Knowledge of transfer credit articulation agreements.

Experience working in a public, post-secondary institution.

Demonstrated strong interpersonal and communication skills.

Ability to work with officials from multiple institutions of higher education.

Advanced coordination and organizational skills.

Demonstrated commitment to serving a diverse student population.
