Job Description

Key Purpose

The Transitions Manager is responsible for the execution of the contract transition process within the ISS North America. This position leads complex transitions that require stakeholder engaging and influencing executives, mid-level managers, and project teams to ensure the effective management, active participation and efficient execution of project plans that support account transition/transformation projects. This individual will provide on-going leadership and direction for these projects by facilitating planning sessions and control meetings, assessing risk, ensuring compliance, assisting in business development efforts, implementing mitigation plans and communicating with key decision-makers. The ideal candidate must have the drive necessary to learn the business and operate the account as a critical enabler of executing business strategies, including an appropriate sensitivity to costs and the need to make decisions given P&L constraints.

Ideal Candidate Experience

  • 5+ project management
  • 7+ years of facilities management or corporate dining experience
  • AA or equivalent degree is a minimum
  • Prior P & L operational expertise within the facilities industry
  • Knowledge of and experience in operational planning and effectiveness
  • Excellent Customer Service and Commercial Skills
  • Excellent client-facing and internal communication skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • High attention to detail while simultaneously capable of seeing the whole picture
  • Organizational leadership skills and a drive to achieve results with a sense of urgency

Key Accountabilities

  • Project manage transition process for new customer contracts in the facility services and food service industry
  • Collaborate closely with SMEs and the new account management team to ensure a positive transition for both the customer and newly hired employees
  • Be accountable for Transition service quality, compliance, and delivery
  • Coordinate and complete account transition within budget and scope
  • Set deadlines, assign responsibilities, and monitor and summarize the progress of the transition
  • Coordinate internal resources and third-party vendors' site visits
  • Support process improvement, working collaboratively with the PMO, and ensuring the ongoing performance of all current and future programs
  • Gain a thorough understanding of evolving customer needs and ensure alignment of the customer services and support teams. Act as the primary point of contact for all transition-related activities
  • Drive operational improvements and cost-saving programs to support financial objectives
  • Leverage standard processes shared resources, and governance models
  • Support, develop, and effectively implement strategies to achieve employee survey targets
  • Live by the ISS 9 Leadership Principles to ensure a fully engaged and empowered workforce

Physical Demands & Work Environment

  • Travel requirements: 25%, including international travel (Passport required)
  • It is a mixture of sitting at a computer for long periods and being on your feet during presentations and travel
  • Must be able to lift a minimum of 10 pounds
  • Must be able to work under pressure and time deadlines during peak periods

ISS offers full-time employees a variety of benefits, including medical, dental, life, and disability insurance, as well as a comprehensive leave program based on employment status. The annual salary range for this position is $130000 per year - $140000 per year. Final compensation will be determined based on experience and skills and may vary from the range listed above.
