Precision Human Resources is seeking Part-Time Transportation Counselors/Monitors to work with Capitol Region Education Council (CREC) in Hartford, CT and surrounding areas.
COMPENSATION & HOURS
* $12.00 per hour (paid weekly with incentives)
* Bonuses: 300 Hour completion, Employee of the Month, and Perfect Attendance
* Part-time: 20-25 hours per week
* Monday through Friday (Days and hours coincide with those of the students traveling to and from school)
* Split Shift 20-25 hours Monday-Friday, requires working both the AM and PM Bus Runs
* AM Times: Arrival 5:30 a.m./6:00 a.m. Return approx. 8:30a.m./9:00 a.m.
* PM Times: Arrive 1:30 p.m./2:00 p.m. Return approx. 4:30 p.m. or later
SUMMARY OF RESPONSIBILITIES
* Ensure an adult is present for students in grades PreK-3
* Assist students as needed, especially ensuring students are adhering to bus rules while riding, entering and exiting the bus
* Assist with the safety of students to and from school.
* Conduct Seat Belt checks
* Assist the driver and students in the event of an accident or emergency
* Maintain knowledge of assigned route and assigned students to ensure that students exit at their scheduled stop
* Develop a positive professional relationship with parents, schools, drivers and students
* Conduct age appropriate learning activities while interacting with students
* Assist with Emergency Drills
* Report any student issues and inappropriate behavior to CREC Management and the School
* Transfer lost/stolen items from the bus to the school office
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE & EDUCATION
* Experience working with school age children Pre-K to High School
* Must be available to work AM and PM Bus Runs
* Attend all safety and training meetings
* Adhere to all school, district, State, Board of Education regulations, laws and policies pertaining to duties, conduct, confidentiality, security and ethics
* Ability to effectively communicate in both verbal and written form
* Satisfactory Background Checks are required
