Job Description

The incumbent in this position is responsible for assisting in the development of community-based Substance Use and Suicide Prevention and Intervention programs for the Seminole Tribal community, including Seminole children, adolescents, and young adults, through the SAMHSA-funded Native Connections Grant. The Tribal Liaison serves as a resource that provides guidance regarding Native Connections program content, structure, presentation, and implementation within Seminole tribal culture. The individual offers an understanding and insight regarding community principles and values when considering the development, organization, and implementation of Substance Abuse and Suicide Prevention and Intervention activities within STOF Tribal communities. In addition, the incumbent in this position collaborates with Native Connections staff for planning activities and events. High school diploma or equivalent GED is preferred. Being enrolled member of the Seminole Tribe of Florida is a requirement for this position. Possession of a valid Florida Driver's license is required Demonstrate excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Demonstrate excellent written and verbal communication skills. Demonstrate proficiency in Microsoft software packages. Ability to speak the Creek and/or Miccosukee language is preferred. Must be able to travel across reservations and work a flexible schedule including evenings, weekends and holidays.
