RISE, Inc is a non-profit organization serving individuals with developmental disabilities. RISE supports and provides services in residential settings, day programs, employment assistance, managed care, and home and community based services.

We are seeking a Director of Training to work in the Orem, UT office. The Director of Training will provide leadership and expert guidance for improved individual and organizational performance through the implementation of RISEs mission, vision, and values. Address training needs and systems for RISE application to ensure best practices are instituted with efficiency, improved personnel performance, and effective return on investment. Lead training teams in design and delivery of broad-range of individual and organizational training/performance products and tools. Provide performance improvement activities for work teams, assessments, documentation, and special projects. Assist top leadership in developing and expanding the organizations capacity to create opportunities for and with people.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Associates Degree of higher at least a combination of two (2) years training experience
  • Must have education and/or certified experience in the area of training with an understanding of adult learning theories and ability to teach adults through a variety of methods and in a variety of settings
  • Must exemplify a professional demeanor
  • Ability to pass a comprehensive background screening and acquire an A-1 fingerprint clearance card
  • If driving a RISE vehicle, must be a minimum of twenty-one-years of age and meet other requirements as specified by RISE Insurance Agency
  • Self-directed, working with limited supervision
  • Ability to work flexible hours
  • Good verbal and written communication skills
  • Experience using computer software including Microsoft Office; Word, Excel and other software as required for the presentation of materials for training
Qualifications

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

  • Ability to teach and acquire formal certifications in required trainings: i.e. First aid/CPR, Direct Care Worker (DCW) training, HIPAA, OSHA, Incident reporting, Prevention and Supports and others as needed
  • Implement and manage trainings with updates/ new needed trainings
  • Supervise Training Staff to ensure the completion of all training goals
  • Supervise office staff within region
  • Implement the RISE mission, vision and values. This can include hands on experience making a positive impact on the staff being trained
  • Oversee and manage details of company training certifications and reporting for RISE staff
  • Plan and assist the running of management meetings
  • Ensure staff training meets licensing requirements and contractual training compliance
  • Communicate with management and team members as requested or as needed
  • Ability to write all necessary materials and communications relevant to the position and interpret policies and procedures
  • Ability to travel extensively across to provide training as needed
  • Collaborate with other training staff across in the State
  • Implement Professional demeanor
  • Manage Customer Service standards and training for all RISE employees
