The Virtual Infrastructure System Engineering role is to provide a single point of contact working in a Team Environment for Virtual, Physical and ESX infrastructure, software and tools to support Operations and Engineering functions including internal and customer facing project deliverables. Expertise with Virtual Infrastructure, OS, VSAN, Vmware, VRA, VROPS, Vcenter, hyper-converged SDDC, HP and Dell hardware and the ability to diagnose and remediate issues affecting support and delivery in a dynamic environment are key components of the position. The ability to support, maintain and provision servers, work effectively with the OS, Tools and apply system patches and security standards are core skills. Additional working knowledge of Zerto replication, VDI, Vxrail, NSX and Public Cloud technologies is a plus.
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience with Server Virtualization (VMware ESX / View)
- Demonstrated working knowledge and awareness of the following technologies:
- Dell and HP Blade Enclosures including Virtual Connect (Ethernet and Fiber)
- HP Servers (x86) & Storage Blades
- Dell/EMC Servers (x86) and Storage
- VMware ESX 5.x, 6.x and 7.x
-Hyperconverged technologies like SDDC, Nutanix and vSAN and Vxrail
- Demonstrated understanding of enterprise networks
Preferred Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience with Server & Desktop Virtualization (VMware ESX / View)
- Demonstrated working knowledge and awareness of the following technologies:
- HP Blade Enclosures including Virtual Connect (Ethernet and Fiber)
- HP Servers (x86) & Storage Blades
- Dell/EMC Servers (x86) and Storage
- VMware ESX 5.x and 6.x
- Hyper Converged technologies like Nutanix and vSAN
- Vxrail, NSX and Dell TOR Switches
- Demonstrated understanding of enterprise networks
Education
Bachelors in Computer Science, Computer Programming or other IT related field. Equivalent work experience will be considered.
