JOB SUMMARY

The Pinal County Crime Victim Compensation Board members review and determine if eligibility requirements were met on victim claims for reimbursement of crime-related expenses that are a direct result of a violent crime. The volunteer, after successfully completing the required training is expected to have a thorough understanding of the program rules, ability to read and comprehend board packets and participate in the monthly board meeting. Monthly board meetings run approximately one to two hours. Due to the sensitive and confidential nature of the information, the volunteer must be able to maintain confidentiality. The volunteer is expected to exercise discretion in the application of policies, procedures, and guidelines of the program.

Minimum Requirements

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

  • High School Diploma or G.E.D.
  • Must be a minimum of twenty-one (21) years of age, a United States citizen or legal resident.
  • Must possess a valid Driver's License. Arizona driver's license preferred.
  • Must have transportation.
  • Must possess proof of current auto insurance at all times.
  • Must successfully complete and pass the background check.

SUPPLEMENTAL INFORMATION:

  • This is a voluntary unpaid position.
  • Upon review and approval of your application, you will be contacted for an oral board interview.
  • Commitment of three years of service for volunteers.
  • Commitment to attend ongoing meetings and required training.
