This is what we would like you to do:
The Vice President of Business Intelligence will lead the analytics strategy for the organization to form a robust analytical model that supports all KCU lines of business. They will have a strong ability to story tell with data: designing, implementing data models, and communicating in easily digestible formats. Facilitating data analysis initiatives, from problem identification and evaluation through user engagement, ensuring insights shape the design of products and experiences.
The Vice President of Business Intelligence will work closely with all levels of management and stakeholders in other departments to identify, recommend, develop, implement, and support analytics solutions to deliver essential information to satisfy their informational needs. Establishes, implements, and administers Business Intelligence policies and procedures. Responsible for translating organizational vision and priorities into a business intelligence strategic framework and roadmap. The Vice President of Business Intelligence will be responsible for developing and implementing technological innovations in support of data gathering and usage throughout the organization. Vice President of Business Intelligence will lead the Business Intelligence/Data Analytics team and function in the enterprise. This individual supervises and appraises the activities of subordinates and ensures that all functions are delivered in a professional manner and internal members are well served.
These are what your duties and responsibilities will be:
- Proactively fulfill employee requests accurately, professionally, and with respect. Assumes responsibility for the development and implementation of effective credit union and Business Intelligence planning and strategies.
- Ensures the timely resolution of employee requests and communicates the outcome. Assumes responsibility for the effective performance of Business Intelligence functions.
- Explores opportunities to exceed employee expectations that are beneficial to both the members and KFCU. Effectively supervises personnel through direct reports, ensuring optimal performance.
- Protects the privacy, security, and assets of our members and KFCU. Assumes responsibility for ensuring that professional business relations are established and maintained with members, vendors, trade professionals, etc. Proactively supports the Mission, Vision, Values, and strategic business initiatives of the credit union.
- Promotes teamwork, innovation, and continuous learning. Assumes responsibility for establishing and maintaining effective communication and coordination with co-workers, other KFCU personnel and with management.
Can you to bring to the table:
- Bachelors degree in Business Intelligence, Finance, Statistics, or related field
Required Knowledge:
- Ability to establish and communicate a vision, set goals, develop, and execute strategies, track, and measure results.
- Expertise in designing, reporting, and delivering analytical solutions.
- Extensive experience in data modeling, data mining, and data cleansing.
- Working knowledge of and prior experience with date warehouse environment preferably in the credit union/banking industry.
- Working knowledge of reporting tools and querying applications
- Ability to convert and present analyzed data into useful information
- Demonstrated knowledge and proficiency with financial services (Credit Union or Bank) operations and information needs.
- Advanced analytical and technical knowledge pertaining to business intelligence including decision analysis and administration.
- Expertise in evaluation of business needs through in-depth conversations with business users to understand the domain and create the architecture for data models that provide a confluent approach to data insights.
Experience Required:
- Minimum five (5) years of progressive experience in business intelligence and data analysis.
- Three (3) years management and supervisory experience.
- Knowledge and experience in creating and executing Business Intelligence strategy in financial services data analysis, preferably in the Credit Union space

- Must be able to demonstrate established competency levels for all required regulatory or compliance-related processes and/or procedures within established timeframes of appointment.
- Reasoning Ability. Must be able to apply logical or mathematical and/or scientific thinking to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw conclusions. Able to interpret a variety of technical instructions and can deal with multiple variables.
- Ability to effectively manage remote employees.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks with minimal supervision.
- Strong negotiating and consensus building skills
