Reporting directly to the SR VP & Chief Nursing Officer, the VP Enterprise Nursing Excellence/Professional Development, in working collaboratively with the Group VPs of Nursing, will be operationally responsible for enterprise-wide patient experience and nurse sensitive quality indicator programs, nursing shared governance (facility and enterprise), nursing professional practice policy, nursing communication, clinical policies, and clinical education coordination. Additionally, this role will have dotted line accountability over Quality/HRO initiatives. The Vice President spearheads critical system educational initiatives, as well as supports and facilitates the achievement of Centura nursing strategy.Important to this role is understanding the leadership expectations of this position and the entire leadership team throughout Centura Health. The VP Nursing Excellence & Professional Development must have a personal and professional connection to the Mission of our Christian organization. This position must be a team player themselves and contribute toward a Team centered approach that lends itself to ensuring "team before self" as we lead our complex, highly matrixed organization into the differentiated leading role as THE system of choice. Finally, the individual must demonstrate personal and professional Accountability to our community, associates, physicians, and sponsors for performance for nursing and its team.

What You Bring/Job Requirements

In addition to bringing your whole self to the workplace each day, qualified candidates will need the following:

• Master's Degree in Nursing Required (other disciplines are acceptable if you hold a BSN in Nursing)
• Current Colorado RN License - Rquired (or upon hire)
• Nurse Executive Certification or Eliglbile (CENO OR NE-BC) Required.
• DNP/NP High Preferred.
• Minimum of 5 years as a CNO (Magnet recognized facility preferred), prefer system CNO experience, ANCC Magnet Appraiser or willing to achieve, highly desirable.
• 10 years progressive nursing leadership experience
