VP of Desert Financial Foundation

Establish and execute an overall strategy for the Desert Financial Foundation that is aligned with the credit union's strategic initiatives. Oversee Desert Financial Foundation's efforts related to fundraising, grantmaking, corporate social responsibility, employee volunteerism, corporate giving and financial literacy.

What you will do here:

Develop, coordinate and execute a well-defined, proactive program to promote and develop the Foundations profile throughout the community, raising awareness and funds for critical mission-related programs. Lead the development of marketing and communication programs, related to the Foundation, in our underserved communities in line with strategic and operational objectives. Monitor and analyze results.

Direct all fundraising efforts with the intent of growing the financial giving capabilities of the Foundation. Provide leadership to develop fundraising plans including major gifts, individual solicitation and donor cultivation, and event management. Develop and maintain effective working relationships with both system donor constituency as well as business partners.

Responsible for the strategic development and implementation of the Corporate Social Responsibility Program.

Establish and implement community grants program that are aligned to Desert Financials' mission, vision, and values. Propose funding recommendations to the grant review committee. Monitor sponsorship and grant implementation to ensure compliance.

Maximize and utilize network opportunities and provide educational opportunities on topics of interest to the Board. Present Foundation results during regular Board meetings.

Oversee the financial status of the Foundation including developing long and short-range financial plans, monitoring the budget (operational and marketing) and ensuring sound financial controls are in place.

Direct the team in operational goals and initiatives while creating a sense of strategic vision for the long-term viability of the Foundation.

What you will need:

5 Years of Foundation Officer/Executive Director experience required.

5 Years of Non-Profit, Fundraising and Grantmaking experience preferred.

Bachelor's Degree preferred.

Influential leadership skills with a sense of vision and ability to motivate others required.

Strong verbal, written communication, listening, and public speaking skills required.

Warm and engaging interpersonal skills and a professional demeanor and presentation required.

Strong ability to develop successful partnerships with diverse constituencies required.

Knowledge and understanding of Phoenixs social service community and a strong understanding of needs of low to moderate income individuals preferred.

Solid analytical skills required.

Experience in project management and event organization experience required.

Must be able to manage various responsibilities simultaneously required.

Credit Union Development Educator preferred.
