Job Description

We are seeking a reliable and hardworking Warehouse Associate to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for performing an array of duties such as receiving and processing incoming stock and materials, picking and filling orders from stock, packing and shipping orders, or managing, organizing and retrieving stock in the warehouse.

Job Title: Warehouse Associate

Job Type: Full-time

Location: Lakeland, FL

Pay Rate: $16 - $18/hr

Responsibilities:

Receives and unloads incoming materials and compares information on packing slip with purchase order to verify accuracy of shipment
Sorts, counts, measures, packages, labels, insures, unpacks, and/or logs inventory which is shipped or received
Inspects shipments for damages or defects; records discrepancies or damages and notifies supervisor and/or purchasing personnel
Make certain all items are properly identified by marking boxes or materials, as necessary, with job number(s) and Heat numbers
Delivers items to requisitioning departments
Enters material receipt in Epicor for all receipts
Turns in Purchase Order and packing slip to Accounting office daily
Prepares shipments for postal or commercial conveyance; selects appropriate shipping container; packs items to ensure safe delivery

Requirements:

Proven working experience as a warehouse worker
Proficiency in inventory software, databases and systems
Familiarity with modern warehousing practices and methods
Good organizational and time management skills
Ability to lift heavy objects
