Wastewater Plant Lead Operator

South Adams County Water & Sanitation is dedicated to providing reliable, affordable, and sustainable water resources and services in order to protect public health, the environment, and quality of life. We are looking to fill a Wastewater Treatment Plan Operator position.

This position operates and maintains all treatment processes, equipment and facilities associated with the Districts wastewater treatment which may include:

• Provide direction and guidance to wastewater operators
• Assists in planning, staffing and training
• Recognized at alternate ORC
• Preliminary, Biological and UV Treatment
• Pumping and Flow monitoring
• Clarification
• Preventative maintenance
• Performs routine and emergency operations and maintenance work

Qualified candidates are required to have:

• High School Diploma OR equivalent combination of education and experience
• Minimum eight years water utility operational system or related industry experience
• Two years lead or supervisory experience preferred
• Colorado WasteWater Operator A Certification
• Valid, current Colorado Drivers License
• Effective time management skills
• Effective communication skills
• Proficient computer skills including knowledge of MS Products, Outlook and SCADA technology

Must be able to respond to inquiries and emergencies as necessary

Must be able to lift 60 lbs occasionally and work in a variety of facilities, temperatures and weather conditions.

Successful candidate will be required to complete a drug screen and background check prior to employment.

Salary Range 30.91 46.38
