The Water Treatment Plant Operator is responsible for monitoring, operating, and maintaining water treatment plant systems and related equipment. Your work will ensure that our community receives high-quality drinking water in accordance with EPA guidelines and tribal/federal compliance standards.

Key Responsibilities:
- Operate and monitor water treatment facility equipment, including wells, pumps, and disinfection processes.
- Maintain appropriate chemical levels for water treatment and ensure compliance with safety regulations.
- Conduct water sampling and testing to control water quality and report results accurately.
- Perform maintenance on water treatment facility equipment and respond to emergencies as needed.
- Keep detailed records of meter readings, chemical tests, and maintenance activities.
- Assist in developing water treatment operation policies and procedures.
What We're Looking For:
- High school diploma or GED; some college coursework in water treatment technology or related field preferred.
- Minimum 4 years of full-time experience as a Water Treatment Plant Operator or in a related role, including 2 years operating an arsenic removal water treatment plant.
- Possession of an ADEQ or ITCA Grade III Water Treatment Operator Certification (or equivalent with Arizona reciprocity).
- Valid Arizona Driver's License.
