Job Description
Diversified Sourcing Solutions is seeking a skilled Welder to work with an established fabricating and manufacturing company based in Lakeland, Florida. This is an excellent opportunity to work with a dedicated team of professionals in a dynamic and rewarding work environment.
Position Details:
- Job Title: Welder
- Location: Lakeland, Florida
- Schedule: Monday - Friday 6 am - 2:30 pm
Compensation & Benefits:
- Pay Rate: $18 - $24 per hour
- Benefits: Immediate eligibility for Health, Dental, Vision, Short-term Disability & Life Insurance
Responsibilities:
- Review project assignments/instructions from Team Leader
- Review drawings and welding details for projects
- Obtain an understanding of tasks given and develop action plans accordingly
- Set up welding machine and other required equipment
- Weld assemblies per the required standards
- Ensure work meets quality standards
- Consistently look for ways to eliminate waste and improve processes
- Operate welding and cutting equipment such as electrical and manual tools (saws, squares, calipers, grinders, etc)
Qualifications:
- 5 years of welding experience is required
- Utilize hoist cranes, dollies, and other shop equipment
- A combination of training and at least three years of experience with Mig, Tig and Flux Core is required for this position
- A can do attitude and a willingness and desire to learn and build your skills as a welder
High School diploma or GED required
Ability to consistently produce high-quality welds on all fabricated components
Ability to pass AWS D1.1 welding qualifications as well as AWS D14.6 if it applies to their shop
Read and understand weld detail drawings, welding procedures, and shop travelers.
Fluent in English, working with written and verbal communication
Requirements:
Must be willing to submit to and successfully pass a drug screen & background check.
Must be authorized to work in the U.S.
