Wellness RN- Part Time- (with or without reasonable accommodation)

Wellness RN's provide care at foot care clinics for our seniors. Clinics are reoccurring each month; same time/day, same location each month. Clinics are in 4-6 hour increments and are low acuity and low stress! 1-3 clinics per week. Occasional Corporate Clinics. During flu season our wellness RN's also run corporate flu clinics!

Nurses who are Retiring or on the brink fit very well with this position. Nurses will provide 1 on 1 patient care during these clinics. Up to 1 month training for clinics. Want to stay in the game but no longer want to work 12 or 8 hour shifts? This position is perfect!No weekends, evenings or holidays!

Location-Brighton, Arvada, Ft. Lupton, Carbon Valley. Clinics are located in the community- i.e. rec centers/senior centers. locations including but not limited to.

Hours: Part time 4-12 hrs/ week. 1-3 clinics per week (clinics duration is between 3-6 hours). Days only- No nights, weekends or evenings.

Pay:$22/hr.

POSITION SUMMARY:
Responsible for performing direct patient care at all types of Community Wellness Clinics (Medical Foot Care,
Immunizations, and Corporate Health sites), which are based on a wellness model using the principles of health
promotion, health monitoring, health maintenance and disease prevention.
KEY REPORTING RELATIONSHIPS:
? Reports to the Department Manager.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES:
? Evaluates patient health needs and provides high quality professional patient care for the type of service
provided.
? Handles medical emergencies calmly and quickly. Communicates regularly with other disciplines involved in
patient's care, including supervisor and support staff.
? Demonstrates competence in performing procedures that may be required of the Wellness RN, which
includes (but is not limited to) any of the following: medical foot care, immunizations for ages 6 months and
up, patient education, corporate health site activities as determined.
? Effectively manages clinic sites in a Clinic Lead role as agreed upon, including coordinating activities of
volunteers and on-site personnel, and by reporting problems or concerns to the Division Manager.
? Consistently uses a high degree of customer service principles to meet or exceed customer needs; works with
diverse clients and in diverse settings.
? Handles clinic payments, and billing sheets (log sheet, billing forms) meeting defined guidelines for record
keeping and processing.
? MFC Staff works a minimum of four regularly scheduled clinics per month permanent assignment. Any
exception requires Manager Approval.
? Participates in the Immunization Program with minimum assignment determined yeary as per need. Any
exception requires manager approval.
? Mentors and assists in Training new employees as requested.
? Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

? Provides patient care (six months and older) as determined by the type of service provided and in accordance
with discipline. Utilizes critical thinking skills, education, mentoring, guidance and interventions to achieve
goals of care.

? Possesses knowledge of patient rights; ensuring an atmosphere which allows for the privacy, dignity and wellbeing of all patients in a safe and secure environment.

boundaries. Adheres to HIPAA regulations, and maintains confidentiality of all patients and families.

through on responsibilities.
? Attends team meetings and in-services on a regular basis. Participates in continuing education and
professional development courses, to include annual education requirements as assigned to the discipline.
? Works in a high volume environment with rapidly changing priorities.
? Understands the importance of providing accurate and timely documentation with patient care. Uses, clear
concise and professional written and verbal communication.
? Responsible for working at permanently assigned clinics and assisting to cover open shifts as schedule allows.
? Promotes and supports TEAM work model. Supports Team by being available to substitute at clinics and/or
accept open clinic assignments as needed when available.
? Possesses knowledge of necessary computer systems including Microsoft Office and Outlook.
? Promotes a holistic approach to patient care.
? Cooperates with all co-workers; demonstrates flexibility to perform.
POSITION QUALIFICATIONS:
Minimum Education: Completion of an approved educational program for Nursing.
Minimum Experience: Proven Physical assessment skills for continuum of the population. Experience working with
the elderly population and the public preferred.
Required License: Current Colorado RN license or license from state of primary residence if participating in the NLC
(Nurse Licensure Comact.). Valid Colorado state driver?s license and proof of auto insurance.
CPR certification.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
