Job Description

The Hutto Family YMCA in Hutto, TX are seeking energetic, responsible, team oriented individuals to work as a Counselor in our Childwatch Area ages 6wks-7yrs and our Teen Zone ages 8-13yrs. Applicant must be able to work a combination of shifts which would include Monday thru Friday 8-1pm, Saturdays from 8am to1 pm. Kids Night Out at least once a month from 5-11pm and Family Friday at least once a month from 4-9pm.This is a part-time regular position. Must possess strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Individuals must be able to pass reference check, pre-employment drug screen, sex-offender check, and criminal history check.

Applicants must be at least 16 years of age;

Applicants MUST be available to work various shifts Monday thru Friday as well as Saturdays, and Special Events;

Candidates will need to have prior experience interacting with children, such as at a day care center, a school, or a Mothers Day Out program;

Must be committed to making a positive difference in the lives of children;

Must possess strong customer service, communication, and interpersonal skills;

Must be certified in CPR and First Aid or able to be certified within first 30 days of employment;

Individual must be able to pass reference check, pre-employment drug screen, sex-offender check, and criminal history check.
