YMCA Head Guard, Round Rock / Hutto, TX

The YMCA of Greater Williamson County is seeking experienced, friendly, high-energy Head Guards for our Round Rock, TX and Hutto, TX locations. This position requires an experienced leader who is vigilant and safety minded. This person will be able to maintain a safe, enjoyable, and positive environment that promotes member wellness and engagement in accordance with YMCA policies and procedures. Must know and be able to perform all skills required for certifications. Applicant must be able to verbally communicate with public and staff, build member relations and maintain a clean, safe pool deck.

Shifts: Our pool is open 5:00am-9:00pm M-F, 7:00am-6:30pm Sat and 1:00p-9:00pm Sundays.
Pay: $11.00 $13 per hour based on experience and certifications.

• Age: Must be 18 years or older
• Must have at least 6 months (prefer 1 year) previous head guard experience or 2 years of lifeguard experience.
• Certifications: YMCA or ARC Lifeguard Training, CPR/AED for the Professional Rescuer (ASHI or ARC), First Aid (ASHI or ARC), and Oxygen Administration (ASHI or ARC). LGI preferred
• Must demonstrate swimming and basic rescue ability.
• Must attend weekly staff in service trainings as part of the staff team.

Applicants will be required to pass reference checks, a criminal history background check, sex offender check, and pre-employment drug screen.
