One of our clients is seeking a Youth Care Counselor to work with at-risk youth in the Worcester area. the role is a little less then 40 minutes northwest of Worcester working with at-risk youth. If you are looking for part-time 3 shifts a week you are encouraged to apply.
AVILABLE HOURS & HOURLY RATE
* $18/hr. dependent on Contractor's experience, education, availability, and skills.
* All shifts are available
* Full-time or 40 hours are available per week.
SUMMARY OF CLIENT'S DESCRIPTION OF THIS OPPORTUNITY
* Check-in with permanent staff regarding youths' behavior
* Safety: Secure facility during the shift. Conduct routine bed checks (at least every 15 minutes) on youths, observing and noting their behavior and dynamics of sleep
* Set limits and manage behavior of youths as needed
* Counselors working overnight must remain awake and ensure adequate monitoring of youth and facility
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION FOR YOUTH CARE COUNSELOR
* Must be reliable and dependable with both attendance and care shown to youth
* Ability and willingness to travel up to 40 minutes to the program
* Must possess a valid Driver's License and personal vehicle.
* Demonstrated ability to communicate clearly and effectively verbally and in writing
* CPR and First Aid (preferred)
* Experience working with at-risk youth (preferred)
* Attend mandatory training on a weekly basis
