Our client is seeking Bilingual Spanish Youth Care Workers (YCW) to provide learning and behavioral management to youth residing in a foster care setting. This is an immediate need in Greater Phoenix and its surrounding areas.
AVAILABLE HOURS & COMPENSATION
Hourly rates are dependent on Contractor's experience, education, and availability.
* 1st shift(7:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m.): $15.50/hr.
* 2nd shift(2:30 p.m. - 10:30 p.m.): $16.75/hr.
* 3rd shift(10:00 p.m. - 8:00 a.m.): $17.50/hr.
Hourly incentive pay available on ALL SHIFTS
SUMMARY OF CLIENT'S DESCRIPTION OF THIS OPPORTUNITY
* Conduct intake services: complete necessary paperwork, provide youth with an overview of the program's services for initial placement in the facility.
* Provide basic needs to youth upon arrival to the program, including but not limited to: meals, clothing, hygiene products, shower and bedroom assignment.
* Provide Direct Care Services to ensure ratios and appropriate supervision levels are consistently met per State and federal requirements.
* Develop positive rapport with youth while serving as a role model to create a safe and caring environment.
* Ensure all forms and progress notes are properly completed in web-based program to ensure State and federal compliance.
* Assist with the planning and coordination of special educational events and recreational outings.
* Assist in the coordination of student council activities and other meaningful experiences for the youth which promotes volunteerism and learning.
* Provide vocational courses and curriculum in a subject area approved by the program director or designees which introduces youth to career choices.
* Assist with the coordination of physical education instruction and activities
REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE FOR YOUTH CARE WORKER
* Minimum of one (1) year experience with children
* Minimum of a High School Diploma or its equivalent
* Must be able to maintain a flexible work schedule
* Must be Bilingual Spanish
* Must be at least 21 years of age at the time of start
